Roujin Z is set in early 21st century Japan and centers on the Z-001, a futuristic robotic hospital bed. The film won the prestigious 1991 Mainichi Film Award for Animation and was highly praised by Roger Ebert. This rare cel features Haruko talking with her friends Nobuko and Mitsuru in a classroom scene.
